A Diagnosis That Changed Everything

Dr. Jane McLelland was not just a patient. She was a trained medical researcher working in oncology drug development.
Then she was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer.
The prognosis was grim. She underwent standard treatment at first. Yet her cancer kept progressing. Instead of surrendering, she did something radical. Similar to what I learned from my mentor here.
She turned her scientific training inward.
The Question She Asked That Doctors Didn’t
Rather than asking, “What chemo is next?” she asked:
“What does my cancer need to survive?”
She discovered something shocking.
Cancer cells are metabolically flexible, but they rely heavily on:
-
Glucose
-
Glutamine
-
Iron
-
Growth signals like insulin and mTOR
Instead of killing cancer cells directly, she focused on starving them. As did my mentor here.
What She Did Instead of Chemo
Using repurposed, non-toxic medications, supplements, and dietary strategies, she built a personalized metabolic protocol.
Her approach included:
-
Cutting off cancer fuel pathways
-
Targeting cancer metabolism from multiple angles
-
Using existing, inexpensive drugs with known safety profiles
-
Supporting her immune system instead of suppressing it
This wasn’t guesswork. It was biochemistry + systems thinking.
The Result
Her tumors stopped growing.
Then they regressed.
Today, Dr. McLelland is alive, active, and cancer-free, years past the survival window she was given.
She documented everything.
Why This Story Matters
She wasn’t anti-medicine.
She wasn’t anti-doctor.
She was pro-science.
Her story exposed a truth many patients never hear:
Cancer is not one disease.
And killing cells is not the only strategy.
